THE MAKERS MARK

I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Marvelous are Your works, And that my soul knows very well.

For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them. Ephesians 2:10 (NKJV)

Have you ever wondered why God commanded not to kill? The answer is simple. Man was created in the image of God. David the psalmist recognised that he was ‘fearfully and wonderfully made’. The intricacies of the human body have not yet been fully grasped even with all our technological advancements in science and medicine.

Now it’s important to note before going further, that there are two prototypes of human beings alive today. One prototype is the first Adam or man. These are what we would classify as the original human beings. The other prototype is Jesus who is both the second and last (third) Adam. He created a new type or kind of human being. Adam 2.0 if you will.

After man created sin through disobedience and sin entered the world, there was a problem introduced into the production line of ‘mankind’. Genesis 5:3 actually tells us that Seth (who was a second generation human) was made in the image and likeness of Adam and not God. Why? This is because the sin nature that had been brought into the human condition changed ‘man’.

This alteration to the original prototype meant that man had become an inferior product to God’s original design. Man was now dead to God and darkened to spiritual realities. Man would have to relate with the world through the senses and emotions. Up until the resurrection of Jesus, this was the way man operated; through his senses and devoid of his spirit; Soulish.

God who knew the capabilities of the human spirit, was not content to let man to remain enslaved and live below his full potential and face eventual destruction. So He sent Jesus, the second and last Adam to do what the first Adam failed to do. Jesus came to restore man back to God’s original design and surpass it with an upgrade which he intended to implement from the beginning (before the fall of Adam 1.0).

If you are in Christ today, you are the realisation of God’s best product. The instruction manual for the new type that came from the new prototype has been clearly laid out. All the specifications of the manufacturer’s workmanship are written in His word. You have now been branded with the maker’s mark as it were as an approved product from the creator Himself. A new creation or creature in Christ. After all, the manufacturer knows best.

Get to know who you are, whose you are and who gave birth to you by studying all the things that God has said concerning the new creation, i.e. sons of God and believers in Christ.
