For in Christ all the fullness of the Deity dwells in bodily form.

And you have been made complete in Christ, who is the head over every ruler and authority. Colossians 2:9-10 (BSB)

that the sharing of your faith may become effective by the acknowledgment of every good thing which is in you in Christ Jesus. Philemon 1:6 (NKJV)

Did you know that the second you came into Christ, everything you could ever want or need to reign in life was deposited on the inside your recreated human spirit? In other words, all the equipment desired or required for life and godliness was granted you by the fulness of the Spirit that you received. It’s important to note that the believer has one Spirit with Jesus. It’s not your Spirit and His Spirit; It’s one Spirit. Our identity however is now ‘hid with Christ in God’.

John 1:16 says ‘and of His fulness have we received and grace upon grace.’ We received the fulness of the Godhead bodily just like Jesus.

Let me prove it to you.

‘And He (Christ) put all things under His feet, and gave Him to be head over all things to the church, which is His body, the fullness of Him who fills all in all.’ Ephesians 1:22-23

Question: under whose feet? Some believe Jesus meant His feet but this is incorrect. He calls the church His body. Whose feet are they then? The feet of the church a.k.a. the Body of Christ. Watch what it says next: ‘The fulness of Him who FILLS ALL IN ALL. This is huge! Did you catch it? When the Holy Spirit indwells the believer, He comes in His fulness and He fills all who receive Him with the same fulness that Jesus had when he received the Holy Spirit. John 3:34 confirms this fact.

‘For He whom God sent speaks the words of God, for He gives the Spirit without measure.’ Some translations say ‘without measure to Him' meaning Jesus, but that is a mistranslation. The original text says 'without measure', period. So anyone who received the same Spirit received the same Spirit without measure.

The word ‘complete’ in Greek is ‘pleroo’ which means to cram (as in a net), to fill up, to make full, to fill to the full, to make complete in every particular, to render perfect. Are you beginning to understand that if God lives in you in His fulness you don’t need to look beyond the Christ in you for any solution. The answer to any situation lies in Christ and Christ in all His fulness is in you!

So how do we activate all this perfection and fulness of glory that is resident within Christ in us? Our last scripture holds the key. ‘the acknowledgment of every good thing which is in you in Christ Jesus.’The word acknowledge here is not a simple ‘hey there’ or a nod of the head. In the Greek the word is ‘epignosis’ which means full discernment and exact or precise knowledge of what is yours in Christ. Epignosis is a revelation knowledge where the knower and the knowledge become one. This is why it is important to be taught right and then put it to work.

You have all the equipment needed but if you don’t know the equipment you have in your spirit, you’ll never use it. If you know you have it but don’t learn how to use it, the result will be the same. Without epignosis, you will never be able to operate the equipment that you have. The truth is you don’t lack anything to live a joyful, healthy, prosperous and fulfilled life. Don’t let anyone deceive or mislead you. If you are in Christ and Christ is in you, YOU are complete! This is part of the good news of the gospel grace.

APPLICATION

Do a word study on ‘pleroo’ and ‘pleroma’ to discover aspects of your completeness and perfection in the finished work of Christ and consciously operate from there.
